Friday January 21 Results

Friday January 21

A frigid night is in the books. Unable to see the races live I have to watch the replays. Never as exciting. Also frustrating to see how much you could have won if watching live! Or lost...!!! (video feed for replays was lagging poorly and was not streaming smoothly, so this entire recap, unfortunately, is based off of the race lines from the Meadowlands website)

Race 2
Make it 6 in a row for Summer Camp. Wire to wire winner in hand for Andy Miller with no signs of slowing down! Clyde Hirt final, here comes Summer Snow!

Race 3
Meirs Hanover finally gets away from Summer Snow and St Elmo Hero and makes it worth the while. Gets the lead and doesn't look back for the win. In all honesty, I did not realize Abs Attack had the 10 hole, but he still didn't show up what-so-ever. Thank goodness for the entry!

Race 5
Drop and pop! China Gal, upon falling a bit in class, comes up with the victory on a second over trip. Pena also had Village Bolero ready for the mile strip as she goes wire to...second; came up a bit short. My "bet", Natalie, braved it first over but couldn't do much come crunch time. Fades in the stretch and does nothing for me. Oh well, maybe a warmer night, or a slightly lower class and i'd jump back on board.

Result = -$10

Race 6
Cuz She Can, can...and does! With Laughandbehappy missing in action this week, Cuz She Can picks up the pieces coming home in a quick 26.4 on a cold, cold night. Both entries go one, two around the track, but finish two, three for a short exacta of $11.80. Too bad Ideal Nectarine gets me for third, or else I get the triple with Showherthemoney riding the cones till late in the race. I did mention Nectarine, so can I get some kudos points!?

Result = -$60

Race 7
In Focus more focused than last week. He got the lead and didn't look back winning as the odds on favorite. All About Justice gets second at 10/1, and again can I get some kudos for a mention! Maybe drivers should be my last handicapping look. Don't Know Chip rode the cones for third while Sauce Two K sits the pocket and fades to fourth? Ouch...Thought last weeks speed run would get him tight for this one. Bastille, another mention, raced nicely for fifth and my pick! Salutation Hanover! threw in a clunker and raced poorly! Didn't offer as much value as I thought he would but it didn't matter, did it!

Result = -$60

Race 8
Winner, winner chicken dinner! "The angle" finally pays off with Gerries Madison getting the lead before the half and holding on for the victory! Ridge Jumper stays sharp and braves a first over trip for second with the exacta paying a strong $40.80. I didn't expect that. Leanback Coco, a good lass and one I certainly overlooked, held down the third spot at 15/1 for a $305 triple! Artimittates life, well she decided not to race tonight. Too cold for her. (Did she get boxed in? I'm only looking at the race line?!)

Result = +$204

Race 9
"The angle" shows again as One Man Show S is parked for the first half but finds a way late to come up with a victory. Longshot Viva Las Lindy holds down second while Jjs Fantasy Colt gets a nice trip for third. Whatnblazes breaks near the half, but that trip was looking pretty awful and how about Konchie!!!! 2 wide for the first half mile, still wide and first over at 3/4 and finishes fifth! WOW. I'll be ALL OVER next week, I can promise you that!

Race 10
Didn't see the race, but Royal Cee Cee N looked impressive on paper. Odds on favorite and wins in hand. Not much to say here.

Race 11
Definitely Mamie finds a way to win again, by a neck, in a wire to wire victory. Ain' Shes Titan pooped the bed in this one getting a rail ride and making zero movies. 1 for 2 "Ain'" bad...

Race 12
Haverford Hanover finds that slight jump in price to bee too much and finishes a faded fifth. My pick, Lightningjackisback made a strong brush to the front 3 wide, until the turn came, and he was hung out to dry. I'll look for next week for sure. 95/1 bomb with Richie Silverman, Bettor Watch Him, clipped me for third. That hurts. Bad Hombre ran a nice race behind cover for an easy victory. D Jokerman was scratched.

Start = -$111
Tonight = +$204
Total = +$93
